A large part of what Fidel Tukel and the TuCorp team does is formwork; the creation of temporary or permanent molds which serve to give concrete its shape once poured in. There are several types of formwork currently employed by the construction industry, including:

Timber Formwork

Built on site, this type of formwork is developed using plywood, timber or particleboard. Though somewhat time-consuming, timber formwork is relatively easy to produce, and tends to be more cost-effective than other methods.

Engineered Formwork

Usually prefabricated using steel or aluminum, engineered formwork is typically faster to assemble than traditional timber, and has the benefit of being nearly indestructible.

Plastic Formwork

Lightweight and designed for larger, mass housing building projects, (re-usable) plastic formwork works well for the creation of simpler concrete structures.

Fidel Tukel: The Value of Youth Mentorship



Fidel Tukel enjoys the opportunity to make a positive difference in young people’s lives. A trainer for an under-18 girls rugby sevens team, as well as a regular volunteer trainer for youths at his local gym, Fidel Tukel is continually rewarded by the chance to be a voice of inspiration and positive influence to those facing the numerous challenges of growing up.
